Carlisle Summerfair has provided a community-wide celebration featuring various free, family-friendly events for over 40 years. This year, you can earn a check-in along the Cumberland Valley Ice Cream Trail during the event’s kickoff day!

Summerfair starts with an ice cream social at 5:30 on Friday, June 28, on the Dickinson College campus. It is followed by opening ceremonies at 5:50 pm and a free concert by local band Cheap Sneakers from 6 pm to 8 pm. You don’t want to miss this opportunity for an exclusive check-in! We feature locally roasted fair trade and organic coffees from West Chester, PA from Tally Ho Coffee Roasters and Golden Valley Coffee Roasters. We also have a wide selection of flavored coffees. We serve breakfast and lunch from 6:30am-6:00pm. We also serve homemade pastries. We carry locally made chocolates Cocoa Creek Chocolates, Sweet Jubilee, and Sweet 717.

We love to bring you up close and personal to where your food comes from!  Four generations work on this dairy farm 365 days a year to bring you delicious milk, ice cream and other farm fresh products! Stop by our retail store to shop for meat and dairy products, and bring the kids to explore the play areas, petting zoo or to go on a tour.



Destiny Dairy Bar is proud to serve ice cream churned straight from our herd of A2 dairy cows!  We serve 14+ deliciously creamy flavors in dish or cone, fun sundaes like the Guernsey Grapenut and the Goat Boat (our take on the Banana split) or order a milkshake with your choice of ice cream AND one of our 11 flavors of our own creamline milk!



Also serving fresh cold brew coffee as an Affogato (with salted caramel is life changing) or cold foam cold brew!  While you’re here, visit the calf barn to see our babies, play with the goats and pigs in our petting zoo area, or watch milking from our observation deck!  Get up close and personal with our bovine beauties who make our incredibly rich ice cream.

Ah, gelato… an Italian favorite! Gelato differs from ice cream in that it is richer, denser, made with milk and less cream thus less fat (4% - 9%), less air and it’s served at a warmer temperature. On top of all that, gelato flavors are more intense! Have gelato in a cup or take it up a notch and try an Italian affogato which is two scoops of gelato and a shot of espresso. Want something dairy free, try a Sorbetto, a flavorful icy delight or a Fresca made with two scoops of sorbetto and sparkling water.

Elena Macris with her husband Richard owns and operates the store, using the same recipes her grandfather John used in the 1920's.
